Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shankar is an Indian-born British American singer and musician, is well known for her music. She was the youngest and first woman to receive a British House of Commons Award. Anoushka Sitar Shankar was one of the Indian young sitar singer. She's a child of Ravi Shankar and a former student. She was a child who bounded between London and New Delhi. In New Delhi, she made her debut at just thirteen years old. Later she moved in Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Anouskha is still pursuing a successful performing and recording careers, even though she's young. She often joins her father on stage, which she's been doing for a number of years. In 1998, she debuted her debut self-titled album Anourag. The Grammy Award-winning Live at Carnegie Hall was released two years following her debut solo album. She has appeared at many important venues across the world. Anoushka Shakar's career isn't just limited to music. In 2002, she released the book Bapi The of My Life. of My Live this is a pictorial biography which is a respect to her dad Ravi Shankar. In 2003, she was the role of a Bharat Nathyam young dancer Dance Like a Man. Her career continues to grow and she is expected to do many great things in the future. Anoushka Shankar is an English born singer who travelled her early years in London, Delhi and California. From the age of nine she began studying music under her father. She made her debut with the sitar 4 years later during his birthday party in Delhi. Anoushka was a part of her father on his worldwide tour, gained an impressive amount of experience. As a teenager, she performed at Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD and even recorded with George Harrison. She was the youngest woman to be awarded the House of Commons Shield, given by the British Parliament to recognize her musical talent and artistic ability within performing in the Asian Arts.
