Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. She is best known for her character Skyler White on The AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in Love with Acting in the Preparatory stage before moving with her family to Ohio. She attended theatre classes in the theatre department at Northwestern University and spent a year in the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her professional career working in the Chicago area theatres for a short time. After that, she switched to film and television. Anna was the first to get a major part in the role of Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes from 1992. In the early 90s Anna was a frequent actor in both film and TV including Seinfeld or NYPD Blue. She starred as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons during the 2000s. Skyler was her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully was another of her characters. Gunn was also in the David Schwimmer directed the film Sex With Strangers. In 2022 the actress also starred in a four-part audio play podcast called"Numbered Days. The romance between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the plot in Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and eventually its demise echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final years of life.
